What I have but you don't and what I have is yet unknown, but used by me and unearned, is what describes privilege!
Privilege is having something, and using it, but not having done anything for it. It is relativity. When something is considered better, morally, socially, physically, mentally, or in any sphere, the concept of privileged and underprivileged arises.
It is considering and being above par, and with all the abilities which others lack.
What is wrong with this? Everybody in this world cannot be equal, because when everyone is privileged, no one is privileged. There's nothing with it being wrong or biased. The problem arises when this causes a rift between people and also when the people, who have it, justify it by mutilating the opportunities of those who don't.
It is snatching what's not for you, and depriving the one who deserves it. This is the murder of dreams at the hands of benefits.
But is privilege meant only for misusing or self-benefits or bettering your position?
Can someone be done by those who have the upper hand in anything? Can someone who has benefits use it for the emancipation of someone else? Can one's advantage not be limited to the four walls of your ego and break the walls around you?
The answer is yes! You always have a choice. You can always be the bigger person and use your advantages for others. Be the sun whose shine lightens the life of others. It burns for the sparkle it lends to others! It emits what values it has instilled in it.
One can always help whom he feels requires it. Talking about privilege, if you feel that you're financially able, lend it to someone it needs rather than spending vaguely. Money cannot buy happiness, but for someone, it can surely buy them a meal, a meal to fulfill their hunger, which in turn can make them happy. Being sound fiscally can surely give you an edge, an edge to make someone sharper, and better.
The biggest privilege that one can have is the privilege of being included. Included in any sense, situation or company wise.
The worst you can do to a person is to make them feel aloof and to make them feel excluded. The feeling of being aside when everyone's in line is the most difficult. Thus, the privilege of inclusivity is superior to all. When you have it, all you can do is not let a person feel so. Being unwanted is the scariest feeling, and letting someone in a circle by joining hands, is the greatest act of goodness.
The modern world is mostly based on outward appearances, which though deceptive, justify your societal status and position. What abides by society's idea of beauty, is included and considered above all. This privilege of being considered beautiful, and being considered as someone to look at, is another opportunity to use to others' advantage. Beauty is not physical, not defined by how you look and how others perceive you to be. It is being pure at heart and making people around you feel enough, just as the way they are, because even the moon has some spots on it, but lights up the world around you even on the darkest nights.
Being able to use your body to the fullest is the biggest virtue bestowed upon you by the creator above. But using this for the benefit of those who are differently abled is the best use of this virtue. Using the limbs to lift those who are left behind and letting them walk aside is next to Godliness and the blessings showered after this will be enough to flourish your farm of desires.
Every emotion is a privilege that one can express and letting others feel the importance of this emotion is an act of greatness. Lifting those who fall, healing those who are wary, boosting them morally, and making them feel happy about themselves is justifying your privilege. Making someone feel loved when their world seems to fall apart, making someone feel worthy enough, and listening to someone when they feel unheard, are the best that one can do. As it is the moon that shines, highlighting the twinkling stars and making the sky complete.
